Travel Tip

1. Using Taxis
When the taxi driver negotiates fare and the meter is not turned on, the rides are often overcharged.
If you are traveling in downtown Bangkok, a cab ride should not exceed more than 200 baht unless the road is congested. You should have enough change (THB 100) on hand before riding the taxi because sometimes the driver will claim to have insufficient change and refuse to give you change.
2. Using Intercity Buses
When traveling from a terminal to another city, there will be touts accosting travelers to help them carry their baggage to their bus, but those buses often take a detour. It is better to purchase a ticket at the counter where the destination cities are marked.
3, Clothes to Pack
You might only think of taking short and cool clothes because of the hot weather in Thailand, but you may want to bring a long sleeve shirt or a blanket because in inside of buildings and buses are very well air conditioned. In addition, due to dress codes at tourist sites and ruins, we advise that you to take a long skirt or a long sleeve shirt.
