Busan is South KOrea’s second largest city. Since the opening of Busan to international ports in 1876, it has played a central role in cultural exchanges. The British consulate was established in 1883, and the consulate of the Chinese Qing dynasty was established in 1884. In the 1960s to 1970s, Busan played a leading role in the economic development of South KOrea. Today, it has grown into South KOrea’s greatest port city, in charge of international distribution and exchange. It is developing into one of the five cities in the world that handles 95% of export container cargo.
Busan is famous for being a marine tourist city. At Jagalchi Market, you can enjoy freshly caught seafood cooked right away or enjoy it raw. Doejigukbab, boiled pork soup with rice, and milmyeon, wheat noodles in cool broth, are Busan’s delicacies. Haeundae Beach and Songdo Beach are famous spots to enjoy the beach, and you can enjoy night views of Gwangan Bridge at Gwangalli Beach.

It opens from July 1 to August 31 every year and can hold about 140 thousand people. Jukdo at the entrance to the beach offers a relaxing natural environment with a dense natural forest, and the northeastern tip of the bay is a natural fishing spot. Relatively shallow waters and soft sand make it a good place for children to swim.
Made up of six islands, it is named Oryukdo because sometimes it looks like five islands and sometimes six islands.
The name Igidae originated from the following story: during the Japanese invasion of Korea, while the Japanese troops were having a drinking bout, two gisaengs intoxicated a Japanese commander and jumped into the sea beneath the cliffs while embracing him. From the Oryukdo Skywalk, you can enjoy walking along the 4.6 km course along the coastal walkway that takes you through the island.
Dongbaekseom was once an island, but it became a land-tied island through sedimentation. Dense with camellia and pine trees, it is a good walking course.
It is well-known as one of the best beaches in the nation, in harmony with the surrounding natural scenery. You can swim in the waters for two months from July 1 to August 31 every year.
At the southern end of Youngdo, there is a dense forest and a rocky cliff surrounded by the sea on three sides. There is an observation deck with a view of Japan's Tsushima, Danubi trains that circles the road, sightseeing cruises returning to Oryukdo, and a seawater pool.
Korea’s largest fish market that is iconic of Busan. You can eat the fish raw or easily find fish restaurants that will cook the live fish you purchased. The lively appearance of the merchants is impressive and attracts tourists all the time.
Once a very poor region, it was a town settled by the Korean War refugees. However, word of mouth began to circulate about the spectacularly painted houses and landscapes, and since then, many photographers have visited. It is also called the Santorini of Korea.
The Songdo Maritime Cable Car, which runs about 1.62 km, operates two kinds of cable cars: the Crystal Cruise with transparent floor and Air Cruise with a closed bottom. It is loved by many tourists as a place to enjoy the cool sea and panoramic view.
Korea's first and only bascule-type movable bridge, the bridge is drawn once a day at two in the afternoon. There is a sad history to the place – it was a meeting place for families separated during the Korean War. Currently, it is famous as Busan’s landmark.
Since 1996, Busan International Film Festival has been held and the Nampo-dong theater district has been newly renovated and the area has been named as BIFF Square. You can see handprints of famous filmmakers, and there are movie screenings and shopping streets.
As a tower symbolizing Busan, the view of Busan from the observatory is truly beautiful.
It is an innovative city and industrial complex built in Busan. The world's largest department store, located on the Guinness Book of Records, and BEXCO, an international convention center, is located nearby.
A good sandy beach with clean water. There are restaurants and cafés with unique atmosphere where many young people visit. At night, the beautiful night view of Gwangan Bridge is spectacular. There are more than 300 raw fish restaurants around the beach, so there is plenty to eat.
