City Description

Cebu, a liberating and comfortable vacation spot

Cebu is the Philippine’s 2nd most prominent city where you can experience Southeast Asia. It’s less than 4 hours away from KOrea. There, prices are low, you can experience an image of a southern country, and feel relaxed and free.

Cebu consists of a main island, the Cebu Island, and Mactan Island, normally visited for relaxing vacations. It has recently been gaining traction as a family vacation spot and is frequently visited by families. Many families bring young children, less than 1 year old, or elderly parents. It is where families can have a fun time. We recommend it to families who want to experience southeast Asia and get away from KOrea’s icy winter!

Travel Tip

1. Airport Tax Collection
In the Philippines, airport taxes are collected at the airport. There are those who may find themselves in a predicament and resort to receiving cash service because they don’t have enough cash on hand to pay the airport tax. You must have 850 pesos ready on hand per person to use for airport tax.
2. When to Shop Duty Free
Local customs consider duty free items as imports and collect more than 20% of the amount as tax when the duty free items are over USD 200 in worth. We advise that duty free goods be purchased on the return trip to Korea, if possible.
3. Currency
The peso is used locally and the dollar is rarely used. Bringing dollars and exchanging it to peso gives you a better exchange rate.
4. Bringing an itinerary guide
You must have an itinerary to enter the airport, and if you do not have a return trip itinerary upon arrival, you must have it issued at the ticketing counter.
5. Document proving family relationships
If you are traveling with a child whose last name is different from yours, you need proof of family relationship in English, and if you do not bring one, you need notarization.
