Since the old days, Fukuoka has been Japan’s gateway to KOrea and China, and an international city that spread foreign cultures throughout Japan. And perhaps for this reason, it is more open and free than other cities in Japan. It is a small city where nature, history, and tradition are in harmony with the charms of a modern city.
Fukuoka is known as one of the most famous gourmet cities in Japan. It is a delight to choose tasty foods of your preference including fresh sashimi, beef tripe hot pot, boiled meat, and gyoza.
Many visitors come for Hakata ramen, as Fukuoka is one of the three most famous regions for ramen noodles.

It is a complex commercial facility built in March 1989 for the “Asian Pacific Expo 89” held in honor of the 100th foundation anniversary of Fukuoka. It is located 1 minute away on foot from from the Fukuoka Tower, and you can see the sandy beaches and the beautiful sunset on the Port of Hakata.
At 234 m tall, it is the tallest beach tower in Japan. It is a symbol of the a subcenter of Fukuoka, and sharp exterior of the equilateral triangle structure covered with 8,000 layers of translucent glass is beloved by many, and has the nickname “Miraseiru.”
Ohori Park is a famous water view park in Japan, located in the near-center of Fukuoka City. Inside the park is a forest of wild birds and Japanese garden, and around the park is the Fukuoka castle ruins.
It is famous as the biggest entertainment district in Kyushu where you can enjoy traditional restaurants and feel relaxed while having a good time .
Around Hakata Station, there is Kushida Shrine and Tochoji Temple. Kushida Shrine is famous for the Yamakasa Festival that is held from July 1 to 15 every year. At Canal City around the Tochoji Temple, you can enjoy shopping and delicious meals.

In Kurokawa Onsen, chosen as the most desired onsen to visit in Japan, there are 28 ryokans, each with 3-6 distinctive onsens, making the entire village an “onsen village.”
1. Hozantei
It is located quite far away from the center of the town, about 3 km on the wooded road. Here you can enjoy onsen in a different, secluded area with picturesque scenery.
2. Kurokawaso
It features a large outdoor onsen surrounded by trees and a spacious indoor onsen over the cliff.
3. Satonoyu Waraku
Those who are not staying overnight but only visiting for the onsen can use the outdoor onsen and the cave onsen of Waraku. The two onsens switch between men’s onsen and women’s onsen.
4. Yamamizuki
One of Japan’s best onsens near the river, Yamamizuki onsen is located in the woods with picturesque scenery.
5. Iyashi no Sato Kiyashiki
This onsen has a variety of onsens including the indoor onsen, wooden floor onsen, an onsen where you can stand up in, and enormous outdoor onsen seemingly covered in flower petals.
Depart Kurokawa Onsen and go to the airport.
