City Description

Palau, the Pacific paradise

Palau, the paradise of the Pacific!

The Republic of Palau is the westernmost island country of Micronesia and one of the countries that can offer unique vacation experience that’s hard to find anywhere in the world. It is a destination where travelers who love adventure can find untouched natural beauty, untapped territories, effortlessly preserved cultural traditions, and a place to escape from the busy city.

Travel Tip

1. Currency
US dollars are used as the currency, and as an island country, it depends on imports for most industrial products, making the prices generally high.
2. Voltage
The local electricity voltage is 110V. Check that your 220V electronic appliances can be converted to 110V and make sure to bring a 110V adapter.
3. Roaming
Toll-free calls and telephone cards cannot be used in Palau. The telephone signals are weak and often results in communication interruptions.
Also, when roaming your Korean mobile phone, be particularly mindful as expensive charges may be tacked on from the use of phone calls and data.
The Internet speed is very slow, and using the DEBUSECHE CARD is the cheapest way to use the internet.
