When adding family mileage for use, your own mileage will be used first and family members’ mileage will be deducted to cover the insufficient amount.
If the boarding member’s remaining mileage is 0, family mileage cannot be added to or used through the boarding member’s own account. Instead, a family member account can be used to issue a mileage ticket in the name of the boarding member (however, branch office visit is required).
Mileage transfer
In principle, accumulated mileage should be used by the member themselves, but the member’s mileage can be used to issue a mileage ticket (including Upgrade Awards) under a family member’s name, if the following conditions are met. However, the individual receiving the mileage must also be a Asiana Club member.

Reservation and issuance
You can reserve and issue mileage tickets using family plan mileage from the homepage as well. Also, the member can use their mileage to issue mileage tickets under the name of someone who is registered as a family member. Mileage must be deducted at the time of reservation, and tickets issued cannot be changed to another person’s name.
Notes
As of November 07, 2014, the scope of bonus transfer benefits granted to Platinum, Diamond Plus, and Diamond members has been changed to “between transferable family members”. However, with regard to mileage that you accrued as a Platinum, Diamond Plus, or Diamond member on or before November 6, 2014, bonus transfers can be issued in another person’s name if Diamond class or higher has been maintained and the relevant miles have not expired. However, bonus transfers issued in another person’s name are not possible from the homepage.
