Information on the Mileage Program Integration is provided below.
■ Important Notes
The mileage integration plan is subject to review and final approval by the Korea Fair Trade Commission and it will take effect following the merger of Korean Air and Asiana Airlines. Details are therefore subject to change. Please find the details outlined below.
Further details will be made available on the dedicated ‘Mileage Integration Information Site’, scheduled to launch in November 2025.
■ Separate Operation of Asiana Mileage
Existing Asiana Club mileage will be maintained as “former Asiana Mileage” for 10 years from the date of integration and may be used until its original validity date.
Following integration, all newly accrued flight and/or partner miles will be credited as SKYPASS miles. Former Asiana Mileage will no longer be accrued.
Members may hold both SKYPASS miles and former Asiana Mileage within their SKYPASS account. Members holding both types of mileage may choose which mileage type to redeem. To combine them, members must first convert their former Asiana Mileage into SKYPASS miles.
Redemption is flexible: members may choose which mileage type to use. To combine, former Asiana Mileage must be converted into SKYPASS miles.
Redemption options for former Asiana Mileage:
Korean Air award tickets (Economy and Prestige Class only)
Upgrade awards
Cash and Miles payments (up to 30% of airfare when booking online)
Mileage Mall purchases, including branded merchandise, partner products, and duty-free vouchers (Note: General shopping redemption except duty-free vouchers available only in Korea)
■ Conversion to SKYPASS Miles
Members may convert their former Asiana Mileage into SKYPASS miles at any time during the 10-year period.
Conversion must be made in full (entire remaining balance).
At the end of the 10 years, all remaining former Asiana Mileage will be automatically converted into SKYPASS miles.
Conversion ratios:
Flight-accrued miles: 1:1 (e.g.,100 Asiana Club flight miles = 100 SKYPASS miles)
Partner-accrued miles 1:0.82 (e.g., 100 Asiana Club partner miles = 82 SKYPASS miles)
■ Elite Tier Integration
From the integration date, Asiana Club elite tiers will be automatically matched to the corresponding SKYPASS elite tier.
The existing validity period of each member’s status will be honored.
Members with elite status in both programs will be granted the higher of:
