Asiana Airlines is preparing for a merger with Korean Air in late 2026. Consequently, Asiana Airlines’ alliance membership is scheduled to change from Star Alliance to SkyTeam.

Please be advised that the Star Alliance partnership will be terminated upon the completion of the merger, and booking Star Alliance award flights will no longer be available.

To prevent any inconvenience resulting from this change, we are temporarily suspending reservations for Star Alliance award tickets for flights departing on or after December 1, 2026, as outlined below:

1. Restriction Details

• Subject : Star Alliance Award Tickets (Mileage Tickets)
• Effective Date : Flights departing on or after December 1, 2026 (Tue)
• Reason : Preparation for the termination of Star Alliance partnerships due to the airline merger and alliance change

2. Future Guidance and Important Notes

• Resumption of Booking : Once the final merger date is confirmed, we plan to resume bookings for flights scheduled between December 1, 2026, and the day prior to the merger date.
• Completion of Travel : All travel with Star Alliance award tickets must be completed by the day prior to the merger, regardless of the ticket issuance date.
