New York, the center of economy and culture

New York City is located on the southern tip of the State of New York in northeastern United States and has a population of about 8.5 million, making it the most populated and dense city in the United States. In Manhattan, the heart of New York City, skyscrapers make beautiful New York skylines.

1. New York Climate
The country has all four seasons. The winters are cold but the average temperature in January is 0℃, and there are only 75 days a year on average that drop below 0 degrees, suggesting a warmer climate than Korea. The average temperature in the summer is 26-29 ℃ and extremely humid. Spring and autumn has a wide variety of temperatures but it is generally pleasant due to low levels of humidity.
2. New York Voltage
The local electricity voltage used in New York is 120V/60Hz and compatible with 110/220V Korean electronics, but you should bring an adapter or an adapter cable because the sockets are different.
3. Tipping culture and paying the bill in New York
In New York, the amount is tipped greater than in other parts of the United States. After dining at a restaurant, be sure to check whether the tip has already been included in the bill.
