Additional Information
Extra Legroom Seat is restricted for passengers on codeshare flights, with Cabin Baggage (CBBG), Extra Seat (EXST), or pets (carry-on pets).
Passengers who have limitations on following the crews’ instructions during emergency, including passengers under 15, unable to communicate in either Korean or English, pregnant, accompanying an infant/child, seniors, cannot be seated in exit row seats.
Passengers accompanying infants may be seated next to you and the extra space in front may be used as a pathway for other passengers.
To use the Baby Bassinet service, you must purchase a seat and request “baby bassinet installation” through the Reservation Center at least 48 hours before departure.
Purchase of paid seats may be restricted if there is a discrepancy in payment currency due to itinerary changes, reissue of airline tickets, or changes in the country where it’s processed.
Refund Rules
The Extra Legroom seat you purchased is available for refund from the point of purchase up until no later than 48 hours before departure (24 hours for domestic flights).
No changes or refunds are available within 48 hours of departure (24 hours for domestic flights). Refunds are only available when the service is not offered due to airline circumstances such as flight cancellation or delay.
For flights to and from the U.S., refunds are available without exception in the event of a major change, such as a cancellation or a delay of 6 hours or more. (In compliance with U.S. DOT consumer policy)
If you are considered ineligible for the exit row seat upon check-in or after boarding, your purchase may be cancelled at the airport. (For international flight)
Restrictions in Seat Assignments in the Exit Row Seat
Passengers who are unable to communicate in Korean or English
Passengers whose capacity, stamina, or dexterity in the arms, hands, or legs are insufficient to perform the following actions:
1) Accessing the emergency exit or slide control device for evacuation
2) Grabbing, pushing, pulling, or turning the slide control device for evacuation
3) Lifting the window-type emergency door above the wings and moving the separated part to a nearby seat or to the next aisle
4) Removing obstacles that are similar in size and weight to the window-type emergency door above the wings
5) Quickly accessing the emergency exit
6) Staying balanced while removing obstacles
7) Quickly escaping
8) Maintaining stability after unfolding or expanding the escape slide
9) Helping passengers move away from the escape slide after evacuating via the slide
Passengers who are under 15 years of age or are unable to perform any one of the actions listed above from 1) to 9) without requiring help
Passengers who cannot read or understand the information on the passenger briefing card or cannot understand the crews’ verbal instructions
Passengers who are unable to perform any one of the actions listed above from 1) to 9) without a vision-correction device (excludes contact lenses or glasses)
Passengers who are unable to hear or understand the crews’ directions for evacuation without a hearing aid (excludes general hearing aids)
Passengers who lack the ability to deliver information correctly to other passengers
Passengers whose conditions or responsibilities (pregnancy, accompanying infant/child under 12) are limited to perform any one of the actions listed above from 1) to 9) or passengers that may be harmed upon performing these actions
