Safety Management System

As of January 1, 2008, Asiana Airlines has obtained system certification from the Ministry of Land, Transportation and Maritime Affairs, in accordance with the provisions of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and is the first Korean airline to build and operate a safety management system. This was implemented one year ahead of the ICAO's mandatory deadline, and was introduced early on in accordance with the company's commitment to safety management, which calls for them to never compromise on safety.

We are continuously improving the level of safety through the operation of the safety management system, while also continuing our bold investments in hardware and software to achieve our company's safety goal of 'maintaining zero aircraft accidents'. Through our uncompromising safety and unparalleled service, we are committed to providing our customers with the safest and most comfortable travel in the world.
