How to use


Eligibility Passengers who have been issued an Asiana Airlines boarding pass, passengers checking in baggage that is within the free baggage allowance
Information on Use
  • You can only check your own bag. Please place one bag at a time on the machine when using the service.
  • For bags with long straps and light bags, use the prepared baskets to send the bags.
    (Please note that the use of baskets is restricted at Gimpo Airport. Please bring your baggage with you on board.)
  • Please check for prohibited items such as explosives, lighters, lithium batteries, and electronic cigarettes beforehand.
  • Passengers flying to the U.S., traveling with infants, connecting to another flight, or charged for excess baggage are restricted to use this service.
  • No additional weight (9 kg) allowance for Elite members (example: members over Gold Class who are boarding Economy Class with one checked baggage item over 32 kg are not eligible).
  • This service can only be used with bags that are less than 90 cm long.
  • After sending in your baggage, please wait 5 minutes in the area.
  • For pets and special baggage, please use the regular counter.
  • Before you travel, please check the immigration regulations and entry-related documents (visa, etc.) required to enter your destination country.

01Scan your boarding pass and passport at the self-service bag drop machine.
You can use the self-service bag drop machine after you’ve been issued your boarding pass.
Scan the barcode of your boarding pass (or QR code) and the photograph page of your passport on the machine.
02Place the baggage you want to check on the baggage belt.
If the baggage slot opens, place your baggage on the baggage belt.
Check the free baggage allowance regulations in advance, and confirm prohibited carry-on items and checked items.
03If the baggage tag is issued, attach it to the bag so that the barcode can be easily seen.
Baggage tags will be printed from the machine.
Remove the film on the back of the tag and attach it to the bag so that the barcode can be easily seen.
Place the small sticker from the tag onto the bag.
04The baggage slot will close and you will receive a confirmation receipt.
When the confirmation is complete, the baggage slot will close.
Receive the issued confirmation receipt and wait 5 minutes until the security inspection of the baggage is complete and proceed to concourse.
