City Description

Guangzhou, a key water and land transportation hub in China

Guangzhou is located on the Nanhai coast of China’s Guangdong province. It is the central city of Guangdong and the center of southern China. It also faces Southeast Asia, adjacent to Hong KOng and Macao, making it a gateway to southern China and a crucial hub for marine transportation.

Because maritime exchange with Hong KOng is easy, thanks to its location, Guangzhou is China’s most economically developed city, with an excellent market economy and environment for investment. Guangzhou is referred to as the core city of the Pearl River Delta economic zone, an area that leads economic development in China.

Locals who utilize the Pearl River Triangle use Cantonese in their everyday life, but since standard Chinese is still used as the official language, there should be no communication problems.

Guangzhou is famous for its industrial arts and healthy local foods, especially its Cantonese cuisine, which is one of the eight main cuisines of China. You can sample various seafood, dim sum, and numerous types of tropical fruits that KOreans enjoy.
