Hawaii, the best paradise on earth

Spend a wonderful time with your loved ones on the fantastic island of Hawaii, which means ”Place of the Gods” in Polynesian, and a paradise on earth where everybody wants to go.

Be sure to get a glimpse of the double rainbow and the Hawaiian sea turtles for good luck!

Hawaii is made up of 8 islands, the smallest of which is the uninhabited island of Kahoolawe. If you have time, we advise that you also visit the neighboring islands like Big Island, where the highest point in Hawaii, Mauna Kea, stands, and Maui.

Travel Tip

1. Voltage
Because the voltage used in the United States is 110V, products from Korea that use 220V are not compatible. You may ask the front desk of the hotel you are staying at, but it is best to prepare a transformer in advance.
2. Tax
If you purchase items or eat at a restaurant, additional tax (4.712%) will always be charged. However, the hotel tax is 13.926% of the room fare.
3. Tip
When you receive services, for example at a restaurant, cafe, or when riding a taxi, you should pay a tip of 15–20% of the total bill as a sign of appreciation. If you use hotel room service, cleaning services, or valet parking services, tipping about $2–$5 is appropriate.
4. Water/Alcoholic Beverages
The tap water in Hawaii is of good quality and safe to drink. The water served for free at restaurants is also tap water. Alcohol sales are prohibited in all shops starting from midnight. Please also remember that you must present your ID when purchasing alcohol.
5. Climate
The average annual temperature in Hawaii is 24°C. Hawaii still has four seasons, although they might not be very distinct. The local weather may be chilly when it is fall or winter in Korea, so we recommend bringing a thin long-sleeved top.
