Okinawa, the island with the charm of southern Japan
Worthy of the name “Hawaii of Asia,” Okinawa is a formation of 160 inhabited and uninhabited islands with alluring landscapes. It is a subtropical climate tourist destination where nature is preserved, and is only two hours away by airplane from Incheon Airport.
The first cherry blossom festival is held in January, when it is the coldest in KOrea. During this time, you can go whale watching near the Okinawa main island, where the weather is like autumn in KOrea so you can enjoy various outdoor activities with friends and family such as golfing, cycling, marathon running, and camping. You can truly feel the charms of Okinawa in the summer by snorkeling and diving, and the weather is mild enough to enjoy marine activities until October, making it an ideal time for those who want to travel during low seasons. In the winter, playing golf while gazing at the open sea is a fantastic experience.
In Okinawa, you can also have the best culinary experiences which are essential for traveling. When in Okinawa, you can enjoy purple yams native to Okinawa, umibudo, goya, Okinawa soba, Orion beer, awamori (wine), sata andagi (Okinawa’s traditional doughnut), and Blue Seal Ice Cream any time, anywhere.

Day 1
You can rent a car to drive to Okinawa World and explore the Gyokusendo Cave, watch the Eisa dance performance, and make glass craft.
The Peace Memorial Museum used to be in the Mabuni Hills, the largest battleground during The Battle of Okinawa of World War II and has since been reborn as the place to awaken the idea of world peace.
You can spend a quality time souvenir shopping on Okinawa’s International Street. Nearby, there is a public market also called Okinawa’s kitchen, where you can find local Okinawan food.
Day 2
At Ryukyu Mura, you can get a glimpse of daily life in Okinawa through traditional Okinawa-style private house.
This is Cape Manzamo, where 10,000 people can sit down to appreciate the view of the ocean from the vast fields. It takes less than 30 minutes to see the entire cape, making it an ideal place to stop to catch a breeze between sightseeing tours.
Did you know that there are over a thousand kinds of pineapples in the world? Pineapple Park, as the name suggests, is a theme park that has everything about pineapples.
Known even among first time Okinawa visitors, Kaiyouhaku is a famous attraction site in northern Japan where Churaumi Aquarium is located.
This is Kouri Bridge that became famous for the drama “Scent of a Woman.” Kouri Bridge was opened in 2005 and connects Kouri Island to Yagaji Island. At 2 km at length, it is the longest bridge in Okinawa.
Day 3
How about going to the surrounding islands where you can enjoy the lush green waters of Okinawa? In Tomari Port located in Naha, there are ferries to Zamami Island, Naganu Island, and Tokashiki Island. Enjoy snorkeling and diving on each island, and enjoy traditional Okinawan cuisine at restaurants on the islands.
Shurijo Castle Park is where the king of Ryukyu Kingdom lived for more than 500 years. The Chinese and Ryukyu cultures are meshed together with colorful decorations and sculptures, suggesting the enormous influence of the Ryukyu Kingdom at the time.
Enjoy a local-style dinner.
Day 4
It is a large, complex shopping mall that operates an airport shuttle bus for convenient transportation even for those who have not rented a car.
Please allot enough time to arrive at the airport to prepare for departure procedures.
