Saipan, a vacation heaven

Saipan is considered one of the world’s most beautiful islands, surrounded by clear ocean waters and coral reefs. It is the most popular spot among the Mariana Islands that offers relaxation on earth’s paradise, worthy of the name “vacation heaven. ” It is a vacation spot that draws a variety of travelers looking for escape and adventure, including family travelers, golfers, water sports enthusiasts, etc. Saipan’s charming locals and architecture are an amalgamation of Eastern and Western cultures. It only takes 20 to 30 minutes to drive from the North end to the South end of this narrow and long island. It may be small, but is full of delight.

1. Climate
The climate of the Northern Mariana Islands is constant all year round, fluctuating by only 1 to 2 degrees. The daily average temperature is 27 degrees Celsius.
Due to strong sunlight, hats, sunglasses and sunscreens are essential items, and you should mainly prepare short sleeves and shorts as well as light, long sleeve shirts as the breeze may feel chilly, similar to the breeze of Korea’s spring and autumn.
2. Currency
US dollar is used as the currency and there are 2 native languages, but the main language is English.
3. Voltage
The voltage used in hotels is 110V.

Micro Beach, American Memorial Park

Micro Beach is about 1 km long, from Hyatt Regency Saipan to Grandvrio Resort. Next to Micro Beach where the ocean constantly changes color and the sand is pure white, is the American Memorial Park.

Mount Tapochau

It is the highest mountain in Saipan at 474 meters above sea level.

You can drive to the summit, and once you are there you can see the 360 degree panorama of Saipan.

Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine

It remained intact even during World War II when the entire island was bombed, and is considered as the most sacred place by Catholics, who make up 90% of the population of Saipan.

Banzai Cliff

It is where Japanese soldiers and civilians, who fought until the end when the US infantry unit entered Saipan in 1944, hailed the Japanese King and jumped to their deaths.

Bird Island

It is a small island crouching towards the northeastern part of the island and the Pacific Ocean. It is called Birds Island because not only are there birds that live in every small holes in this limestone island but also the waves around the island resemble a bird flapping its wings.

Suicide Cliff

It is a cliff on the west of the Marpi Point that stretches behind the Banzai Cliff like a folding screen. Military officers and troops jumped from this Cliff.

Korean Memorial

It was erected in 1979 to commemorate the Koreans who died in Saipan due to forced labor during World War II.
