How to Use


Check-in hours - International Flights: Up to 48 hours prior to departure
- Domestic Flights: 30 days ~ 24 hours prior to departure
Eligibility - All passengers who have completed ticket payment Eligible routes for mobile boarding passes
* Limited for: group reservations, passengers traveling with infants under 2 years of age, passengers who applied for special services (UM, YPTA, etc), passengers using codeshare flights
Passengers aged 13 and above and under 19 years old, who are not accompanied by an adult when traveling on a domestic flight

01Apply for Auto Check-in at the check-in/seat assignment menu.
After Log-in : At the bottom of the My Asiana reservation details screen, click on the seat assignment/check-in menu.
As Guests : Enter your reservation number and departure date at the check-in menu, and click on the reservation you want to apply for.
02You can select the seat you want or change your seat.
If you have already been assigned a seat, click on the auto check-in application button right away and move on to the next page.
If you are applying for auto check-in without assigned seats, you will be assigned a seat randomly (can be changed).
03Enter your contact information and passport information (International flights).
Your boarding pass will be delivered using the email or cell phone number you entered. Make sure you enter the correct information. In the case of international flights, if valid passport information is not entered, check-in may not be possible depending on the pre-screening results at the departure/arrival city.
For flights arriving in the U.S., you need to enter the address of the place you will stay at in the U.S. (hotel) or your permanent residency status.
04After your application is completed, your check-in will be completed automatically 24 hours before departure.
You can reissue your boarding pass, change your seat or information, and cancel your check-in before the online check-in deadline.
Airports that allow issuance of mobile boarding passes If this is not the case, delivery of your boarding pass will be limited after check-in. Please receive a physical boarding pass at the designated counter.

FAQ

Q Can I only apply for auto check-in after seat assignment? Details

A

You can apply for auto check-in even if you do not have an assigned seat beforehand. However, you will be assigned a seat randomly if that is the case.

If you have a seat you want, you can apply for auto check-in after your seat is assigned.

Q Until when can I apply for auto check-in? Details

A

Auto check in is different for International and Domestic flights.
International flights: You can apply up to 48 hours prior to your departure.
Domestic flights: You can apply up to 24 hours prior to your departure.
The boarding pass will be delivered to the address (SMS or e-mail) you applied with 24 hours before the departure time.

Q I’ve entered my passport information and contact information incorrectly. What should I do? Details

A

You cannot check in with invalid passport information, and thus you will not be delivered a boarding pass.

In addition, up to 48 hours before departure, you can modify your passport and contact information at the corresponding menu and reapply.

(If 48 hours remain before departure, you can connect to the ‘check-in’ menu and modify information.)

Q I’ve made reservations with several other people. Can only selected people in the group apply for auto check-in?Details

A

Yes, you can. Even if reservations are made together with several people, only individuals who have entered their passport and contact information can apply for auto check-in.

Q Is it also possible for group reservations made at travel agencies? Details

A

Currently, auto check-in is not possible for group reservations. For group reservations, online check-in is available.

Q Is auto check-in available even when traveling with an infant under 24 months of age? Details

A

Auto check-in is unavailable for passengers traveling with an infant under 24 months of age. Online check-in is possible starting from 48 hours before departure.

Q I’ve been assigned a seat beforehand through the reservation center. Can I apply for auto check-in? Details

A

Yes, you can. You can apply for auto check-in on the homepage or mobile site.

Q I’ve already applied for auto check-in, can I still check in online? Details

A

Yes, you can. Even if you have applied for auto check-in, you can check in online and receive your boarding pass directly.

However, after your check-in is complete, a boarding pass for the applied auto check-in (24 hours before departure) will not be delivered.

  • If you do not enter the correct passport information, the boarding pass won’t be sent out to you due to failure to check in 24 hours prior to departure.
  • Even if you have applied for auto check-in, you can check in and have your boarding pass issued via the ‘check-in’ menu.
  • If you are applying for auto check-in without selecting your seat, you will be assigned a seat randomly and your boarding pass will be issued.
  • Before the online check-in deadline, you can change your seat and information, or cancel your check-in at the check-in menu.
