The Ministry of Education and the Kumho Asiana Group signed an MOU to support the exam-free semester system. Asiana was awarded for excellent supporting performance, specifically setting up various exam-free semester support programs such as flight simulator classes and crew mentorship classes.

We received a plaque of appreciation from Song, Sanghyun, president of UNICEF Korea, for the dedication and efforts of participating clients and crew members. Since 1994, we have been working with UNICEF for 23 years on the ‘Change for Good’ program for children.

The UN Global Compact is a body aimed at increasing the sustainable value of corporations under the UN. At the Value Awards hosted by the UN Global Compact, Asiana Airlines received the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Award for installing eco-friendly solar-powered street lamps in Ankor Wat ruins, Cambodia and improving the security in the surrounding areas.

Grand Mecenat Award, 2009 Korean Mecenat Awards

Mecenat is a term referring to the corporate support lent by corporations to culture and arts, sports, and social/humanitarian public works. For our active support and contributions to the culture and arts sector, including the Asiana International Short Film Festival and provision of free flights to culture and arts personalities, we received the "Mecenat Award," the equivalent of a President's Award, at the 2009 Korean Mecenat Awards.

We give wings to the dreams of young people.
Asiana Airlines signed an agreement with the National Aviation Museum to expand mutual cooperation in planning and operating educational donation programs and providing spaces for education. We plan to take the lead in more active youth education donation activities in the future.

Spreading awareness of the beautiful Korean character to the world
Asiana Airlines has entered into an MOU with Sejong Cultural Foundation to promote Korean Wave to the world. As a global airline that represents Korea, Asiana Airlines is taking part in spreading the Korean language and cultural awareness around the world, getting people to admire Korean culture.
Signed a MOU with Yonsei University College of Dentistry
Dreaming of a world without pain.
Asiana Airlines has signed an MOU with Yonsei University College of Dentistry to visit and provide medical treatment to marginalized communities in both domestic and international medical blind spots.
Volunteer Activity Agreement with Gangseo-gu, Seoul
Sharing in the difficulties of local residents
In order to share in the difficulties experienced by residents in the neighborhood, Asiana Airlines signed a volunteer agreement with the Gangseo-gu Office in Seoul where its HQ is located. Asiana Airlines will step up its social contribution activities in Gangseo-gu, with the Gangseo-gu Office providing administrative conveniences so that Asiana Airline employees can more actively and safely participate in its social contribution activities.
Agreement between Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and the Community Chest of Seoul Social Welfare
We hope our future leaders will grow up healthy.
Asiana Airlines has entered into an agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and the Community Chest of Seoul Social Welfare, to provide free breakfast for low-income family students in Seoul. It is more meaningful in that Asiana Airlines employees donate for fundraising.
MOU with UNESCO
UNESCO's guardian for world cultural heritage!
Entering into an agreement with the Korean Committee for UNESCO in February 2012, Asiana Airlines vowed to take the lead in activities to help preserve world cultural heritage. For our installation of eco-friendly solar-powered street lamps in the area around Ankor Wat of Cambodia in 2010, followed by projects to improve and protect the environment around UNESCO world cultural heritage sites such as Danang, Hoi An, and Hue in Central Vietnam, we were named a global world cultural heritage guardian.
MOU with KOICA
KOICA, Asiana's overseas social contribution partner
At the Incheon International Airport in February 2010, Asiana Airlines signed an MOU for cooperation in social contribution with the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). In addition to the solar-powered street lamps project in Cambodia, the first joint Asiana-KOICA overseas social contribution project, Asiana and KOICA are jointly engaged in a variety of social contribution programs, such as the Aeta tribe support program in the Philippines, Beautiful Classrooms - China, and Beautiful Classrooms - Vietnam. The advantages and experiences of both Asiana and KOICA are brought together to make these programs even more effective.
MOU with UNICEF
The Promise of a Future for Every Child Worldwide
Asiana Airlines entered into a partnership with the Korean Committee for UNICEF in 1994. Since then, Asiana Airlines has been an active participant in "Change for Good,” a campaign in which passengers aboard the plane are encouraged to donate their leftover coins to charity. This charity campaign represents one of Asiana Airlines’ longstanding partnerships.
