International Flight Ticket Reservations
  • Online reservations for international routes can be made up to 361 days from the date of inquiry.
  • Be sure to confirm fare conditions when making your reservation. The validity date of purchased tickets may vary according to fare conditions.
  • For international reservations, if the name on your boarding pass does not match the name on your passport, you may be refused boarding or entry at the departing or arrival airport. Asiana Airlines accepts no responsibility in this situation.
  • Payment information (including name of card holder) must be entered in alphabetic characters and only cards in the name of the traveler can be used. As a rule, other people’s cards cannot be used. If the traveler’s name differs from that on the card, you may be asked at the airport to confirm whether you have the card. If such confirmation fails, you may be denied boarding by our company, pursuant to Credit Terms and Conditions of International Carriage Article 3. Please exercise particular care. In the case of boarding denial for the above reasons, the company will not accept any responsibility.

Information on Segments operated by Codeshare and Foreign Airlines
  • Segments operated as codeshare routes operated by affiliate airlines other than Asiana Airlines can also be reserved though the website/mobile application. (However, certain flights are not eligible for website/mobile device bookings. Please inquire when making your reservation.)
  • Fares for codeshare segments or segments operated by affiliate airlines may vary differ from flight tickets purchased directly from that airline.
  • For segments operated by affiliate airlines/codeshare, please use the check-in counter of that airline.
  • On our website, or by mobile device, you can make reservations for major cities in the U.S., including cities served by Asiana Airlines. Please check the destination list to see cities eligible for reservations.
  • Some other operating carriers and codeshare airlines restrict travel for unaccompanied minors under the age of 15. Please make sure to check with the airline.
  • According to the codeshare agreement, the baggage rules of either the operating airline or the marketing airline (Asiana Airlines) may apply. Please confirm in advance.
  • Once you purchase a flight, you can check the final baggage rules on your e-ticket itinerary.

Baggage Rules
  • For international routes, you can check two bags whose combined weight is within 23kg for free on economy class for U.S. segments. For non-U.S. segments, you can check one bag whose weight is within 23kg for free.
    When transferring to routes operated by other airlines, baggage allowance may vary depending on the regulations of the relevant airline.
  • Please make sure to check the regulations for special baggage, such as fees for carry-on baggage, excess baggage, and musical instruments.

Reservations for Korean Domestic Routes
  • Flight tickets for Korean domestic routes can be reserved up to 361 days from the date of inquiry.
  • The validity period of the ticket you have purchased is one year from the date of departure.
  • When purchasing flight tickets for Korean domestic routes, you must pay at the same time as making your reservation.
  • Please be aware that times for Korean domestic flight reservations are subject to change without notice due to regular schedule changes and regular maintenance work.
  • After ticketing, a difference in fuel surcharge will not be charged anew nor refunded, even if it increases or decreases.

Use of Codeshare Airlines
  • Air Busan operates Busan-Jeju, Daegu-Jeju, Gimpo-Busan, and Gimpo-Ulsan routes as a codeshare service (operating carrier: Air Busan).
  • On codeshare flights, there may be a fare difference with the codeshare airline. Please check the codeshare fare and special individual discounts before making your purchase.

  • Check-in for Asiana Airlines flights departing from Busan and arriving in Jeju is operated by Air Busan.
  • For Air Busan codeshare flights, internet seat allocation is available on the Air Busan website up to 30 minutes before departure.
Individual Discount Fares

[Common Items for Discount]

  • When buying flight tickets, you can receive special individual discounts according to passenger. Please confirm discount eligibility, discount details, and required paperwork before making your purchase.
  • If you have received a special individual discount through the Asiana Airlines website, you must present your documentary evidence at the airport on the day of boarding. If you do not bring it with you, you will have to pay the difference between the discount and regular fare before boarding.
  • Discounts cannot be retroactively applied after boarding is complete. Please be sure to confirm before purchasing your ticket.
  • Individual discounts only apply to regular fares and cannot be combined with internet discount fares.

[Discounts for Customers with Disabilities]

  • The discount for persons with disabilities is 50% of the regular fare for persons with 1-3 level disability and 30% of the regular fare for persons with 4-6 level disability. One accompanying care giver can receive 50% off the regular adult fare only if they are accompanying a person with a 1-3 level disability. (same applies to children with disabilities)
  • Discounts are also available on Air Busan codeshare flights.

  • The Asiana Airlines website uses Verisign, a secure server verification mode, to encrypt and send information using SSL (Secure Socket Layer).
  • Please allow cookies, Javascript, and popups to use the service.
  • Online reservations can be made with Windows OS (Not Linux).

Points to Note when Paying in Korea

[Paying by Credit Card]

  • It is not possible to pay with debit / advance payment / gift cards that are not payment enabled cards.
  • Certification is strictly required for credit card payments that total over KRW 300,000 (KRW 500,000 for Samsung Card). Please have certification issued by the transacting bank.
  • You may use a company card in the same way as personal cards after registering it with an online verification program (ISP/Safety Click). Some company cards have restrictions on online verification program registration. Please check with your card company.
  • If a problem occurs with ISP/Safety Click, please check with your card company.

[Real Time Account Transfer]

  • Real time account transfer is only available in Korea. It is used to transfer money from your account in real time to pay for a purchase.
  • Internet banking can be used if it is set up, though not phone banking or payment without account. You can proceed by entering your account details with the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute.
  • Can only be used through Internet Explorer in Windows.
  • Tickets purchased via account transfer cannot be refunded online once 180 days have passed from the purchase date. Passengers must visit the reservation center or branch office for a refund.
  • Payment method cannot be changed after payment has been made.
Points to Note Regarding Payment in China
  • CNY and KRW can be used to pay with website/mobile device in China.
    If you select CNY, you may pay with Alipay, China Unionpay and Wechat Pay. If you select KRW, you may pay with Visa Card, Mastercard, and most Korean credit cards.
  • Please note that if payment is not made at the same time as the reservation, the flight ticket cannot be purchased and the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
  • Due to the tax rules of the Chinese government, a receipt cannot be provided for flight tickets reserved from the Chinese website.
  • For reasons including bank restrictions, we recommend using the Internet Explorer browser. Please note that payment and ticket issuing errors may occur when using other browsers.
  • Paying with China Unionpay Payment may not be possible due to internet banking payment amount restrictions. In this case, please change to an allowed credit card, according to the information on the China Unionpay website, and try again.
  • Paying with Alipay Payment may not be possible due to internet banking payment amount restrictions. In this case, please add funds to your Alipay account and pay the balance.
  • If payment was successful but ticket issuance fails (ticket number not generated and itinerary not received), please immediately call the Reservation Center in China (+86-10-8451-0101) or contact a branch office in the country of departure. Branch Contact Details
  • Paying with Wechat Pay According to the Tencent policy, customers who is not verified by Chinese identity card are temporarily unable to pay abroad with Wechat Pay. The amount to be paid may be different, depending on your purchase date and the currency exchange rate. The actual amount to be charged may be different from the final payment amount, depending on the currency and the exchange rate of the transaction.
  • Paying in KRW You may use Visa Card, Mastercard, and Korean issued credit cards. When paying, the amount in KRW is displayed after being directly converted from CNY. The final payment amount is the amount in KRW.
    When using an international credit card issued outside Korea, there may be a loss on the foreign currency transaction, depending on the calculated currency unit. When using credit cards eligible for 3D Secure verification, we recommend that you get your ticket issued after completing verification.

Points to Note when Paying in Korea

  • When paying by account transfer, the Bank Pay app of the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute will be automatically activated.
  • Tickets purchased via account transfer cannot be refunded online once 180 days have passed from the purchase date. Passengers must visit the reservation center or branch office for a refund.
  • Payment method cannot be changed after payment has been made.

Itinerary Changes
  • For fares sold with rules that do not allow changes to segments, requests to change segments are not allowed. Please get a cancellation/refund and then purchase a new ticket.
  • When changing segments for purchased flight tickets, the flight ticket must be re-issued with a fare that allows application of the fare on the same day as requested.
  • If there is a fare difference between the purchased ticket and the new fare, the difference can be collected/refunded. A re-issue fee may be payable, depending on the fare rules.
Change Date/Flight Number
  • Itinerary changes are not possible for flight tickets with rules that do not allow changes to the date or flight number.
  • Even for flight tickets with rules that allow changes to the date or flight number, the fare will be re-calculated to one that is valid on the day of the change.
    If the same fare/conditions are not applicable (time of sale, season, day, flight number, reservation class etc) when re-calculating, the fare will need to be re-issued as an applicable one before the date change can be made. When re-issuing, fare difference and re-issuance fee are payable.
Points to Note Regarding Itinerary Changes
  • If you wish to make partial changes or seat class changes, please contact the Reservation Center.
  • When itinerary changes are made, additional services such as seats reserved in advance and in-flight meals are automatically cancelled. Please request them again after making the changes.
  • If you have purchased a paid seat in advance, you may receive a refund for the paid seat up to 48 hours before departure. Paid seat refunds are not possible within 48 hours of departure. (For some discounted paid seat changes caused by itinerary changes, the normal fare will be payable, not the discounted paid seat cost).
  • If you used a coupon when you first booked the flight ticket, the discounted amount will be added to the additional fare.
  • Online itinerary changes may only be made one time.

Itinerary Changes
  • If a fare difference results from an itinerary change, you will either need to pay an additional amount or receive a refund.
  • All changes, cancellations, and refunds of Korean domestic flights purchased via the website or mobile device must be requested via the homepage or mobile device (unavailable at the reservation center, regional offices, or airport ticketing counters). Confirm the fare rules of the discounted tickets if they are not eligible for itinerary change or refund.
Points to Note Regarding Itinerary Changes
  • If you wish to make partial changes or seat class changes, please contact the Reservation Center.
  • If the discounted amount on the changed itinerary is more than 50%, mileage accrual and addition of boarding times are not allowed. After changing to a discounted fare, partial changes/refunds and itinerary changes are not allowed. Please cancel/refund the entire reservation and purchase again.
  • When you make itinerary changes, additional services such as advance seat reservation are cancelled. Please request again after the changes are completed.
  • If you used a coupon when you first booked the flight ticket, the discounted amount will be added to the additional fare.
  • Online itinerary changes can be made up to a total of three times.

Flight Ticket Cancellation/Refund Period
  • Requests for cancellations/refunds of flight ticket reservations can be made up to 30 days from the expiration date of the flight ticket.
    Validity periods for discounted flight tickets may vary depending on the fare. Please make sure to confirm when purchasing.
Cancelling/Refunding Flight Tickets on the Day of Purchase
  • When cancelling/refunding flight tickets online on the day of purchase, refund penalties and fees are not payable. However, please note that when cancelling/refunding flight tickets from the day after the purchase date (after midnight), refund penalty and fees are payable.
  • If you wish to cancel/refund a flight ticket purchased through an Asiana Airlines branch office or Reservation Center on the same day as purchase, this can only be done during the business hours of each branch. Please check in advance before making your inquiry.
Cancellations/Refunds of Partially Used Tickets
  • When cancelling/refunding a partially used ticket, the amount of the unused portion will be calculated as the refund amount,
    minus the amount of the one-way fare for the segment you have used (including fuel surcharge and tax). Additionally, a refund fee and penalty will be deducted according to the fare rules.
  • For some discounted fares, one-way cancellations/refunds are not allowed according to fare rules. In this case a refund may not be possible. However, the fuel surcharge and tax for the unused segment will be refunded.
Cancellations/Refunds for Cancelled Flights
  • Tickets that go unused due to weather conditions or airline circumstances are not automatically cancelled/refunded. Although we provide a refund fee waiver in such cases, refunds via homepage or mobile incur a refund fee.
    Please request a refund via the reservation center, regional offices or airport counter.
Notes on Cancellation/Refund
  • For all tickets issued on and after January 10, 2019, no-show penalty will be modified.
  • If you do not cancel your confirmed flight before the departure time, no-show penalty of KRW120,000 or USD120 will apply per ticket.
  • If you do not board after check-in, Gate no-show penalty of KRW300,000 or USD300 will apply per ticket.
  • Please make sure that reissue fees for date change and refund fees are applied separately from no-show penalty.
  • Contact the Reservation Center if you wish to make partial changes/refunds under the same reservation number.
  • The refund amount will be credited back via the original payment method. It may take longer if there is any fare difference caused by itinerary changes.
  • For flight tickets departing from Korea, there is no refund fee applied if cancellation/refund is made 91 days before departure.

Additional Information Regarding Cancellations/refunds in China
  • There are a variety of refund penalties and fees, depending on the route and type of flight ticket. Please confirm the fare rules of the flight ticket you have purchased.
  • If online cancellations/refunds are not available in China, please ask for cancellations/refunds at a branch office in the country of departure.
    • Documentary Evidence Required for Self-Submitted Requests: Passport of traveler, flight ticket itinerary, refund application form

Refund Requests for Flight Tickets (Receipt)
  • Contact the reservation center if you wish to make partial changes/refunds for your reservation.
  • After your refund is completed, the reservation is cancelled and cannot be restored. Please be aware of this when you make your request.
  • Refunds generally take 5-7 working days to process after the request is made. When the refund process is complete, the branch office or Reservation Center will send information on the final refund amount to the e-mail used when you made the request.

Mileage Use

[Accruing Mileage]
  • Mileage can be accrued when flying on Asiana Airlines, Star Alliance or affiliate airlines, and when using affiliate services and accruing missing mileage, etc.

Mileage Ticket Reservations
  • Click the “Reserve Mileage Ticket” button at the top of the flight ticket reservation menu to reserve a mileage flight ticket.
  • Limited to Asiana Club members. Mileage tickets can be issued using your own of your family members’ mileage.
  • If you are registered as a member, you can combine the mileage of a direct family member to use a mileage flight ticket. View Detailed Information on Combined Family Mileage
  • Regarding mileage that you accrued as a Platinum, Diamond Plus, or Diamond member on or before November 6 2014, bonus transfers can be issued in another person’s name if Diamond level has been maintained and the relevant miles have not expired. (However, bonus transfers in another person’s name cannot be issued online)
  • During peak season, 50% will be added to the standard mileage deduction. Please be sure to confirm this before the flight ticket is issued. Check Peak Season
  • Online issuance of mileage tickets is limited in the following cases.
    1. When using codeshare flights other than Air Busan
    2. When intending to have a Star Alliance mileage ticket issued for an infant customer (under 2 years of age)
Announcement on Changing Mileage Tickets
  • To change your itinerary, you must log in with the same membership number to which the ticket was issued.
  • When changing the itinerary, the high/low season will each be newly applied according to the boarding date (one-way), and there may be a difference in the mileage/tax/overall amount depending on the time of change. You would need to pay for any additional charges, and for a refund, the amount will be automatically credited to the card company or your account.
  • When changing the itinerary, the validity period of the ticket will remain the same as the date on the ticket initially issued.
  • You cannot change the return segment.
    • Ex.1) Incheon-Narita-Incheon round-trip ticket: After flying Incheon-Narita, you cannot use the remaining Incheon-Narita segment.
    • Ex.2) Incheon-Narita one-way ticket: Cannot be used for Narita-Incheon route (you would need to reissue a Narita-Incheon route ticket or get a refund and purchase a new ticket)
  • For layovers (in Korea), if you wish to change the remaining itinerary after using the first segment, you can get a refund and be reissued another ticket (refund fee applies). At this time, standard deductions do not apply for layovers. Major routes are classified into Korea, Japan, China, Southeast Asia/India, the U.S./North America, Europe, Oceania/Saipan/Palau, Russia/Central Asia, Central America, and the Middle East/Africa.
  • Name cannot be changed after ticket has been issued.
  • However, if there is no difference in the amount owing due to standard mileage deduction (same segment/season/class) or change of ticket within the validity period of the ticket, you can change the ticket without paying the reissue fee.
Cancellations/Refunds of Mileage Flight Tickets
  • Mileage flight tickets cannot be refunded in cash, sold or exchanged.
  • Mileage tickets must be used by the person specified on the ticket. Name changes are not allowed.
  • In the event of the death of a member, the member’s mileage and benefits cannot be transferred to another person (including family members).
  • If a mileage ticket is issued but not used (including Upgrade Awards to the next higher class), a refund fee of 3,000 miles or USD 30 per passenger (per ticket) is payable for cancellations/refunds made within 12 months of issue. For refunds made more than 12 months after the ticket issue date, a refund fee of 10,000 miles or USD 100 per passenger (per ticket) is payable.

Mileage Accrual
  • Asiana Airlines is a regular member of Star Alliance. If you fly on Star Alliance airlines or other affiliate airlines, you can accrue Asiana Club mileage.
  • In addition, you can use accrued mileage to get mileage flight tickets for Star Alliance airlines and other affiliate airlines.

Star Alliance Mileage Ticket Reservations and Issuance
  • If you click the “Apply for Reservation with Mileage” button at the top of the flight ticket reservation menu, you can reserve mileage flight tickets.
  • Limited to Asiana Club members. Mileage tickets can be issued using your own of your family members’ mileage.

  • You may select cities from a minimum of one segment, up to a maximum of six segments, for your reservation.
  • If your itinerary includes a transfer, you may select cities from up to a maximum of eight segments for your reservation. When choosing the cities, please follow the following process.
  • Online reservation is not available for mileage tickets for infants (under 2 years of age). Please make your reservation through the Reservation Center (from Korea: 1588-8000, overseas: 82-2-2669-8000).
  • For infants (under 2 years of age) and children, the mileage deducted is the same as for adults. However, an infant who is not occupying a seat can travel on a paid infant flight ticket (10% of adult fare).
    Please request paid infant flight tickets from the actual airline you are traveling with.
  • When selecting Premium Class, reservations and issuance through the website are not possible.
  • Website issuance is only possible once the reservation is confirmed.
  • Website issuance is available from three days before the first departure on the itinerary.
  • The time limit for issuance is as below. If issuance is not made within the time limit, the reservation may be cancelled.
    • From time of reservation up to 96 hours after the day of departure: Issuance within a minimum of 72 hours of reservation
    • Within 96 hours from time of reservation: Issuance within a minimum of 24 hours of reservation
  • Mileage cannot be used to purchase round-the-world bonus flight tickets through the website. (Deduction for each segment is according to mileage deduction table).

How to Use Coupons When Booking Flight Tickets
  • Log-in as a member, enter the desired itinerary and click “Flight Ticket Inquiry” at Flight Ticket Reservations. You can check coupons that can be used for your selected itinerary.
  • If you download a coupon or select a coupon that you already have, you can make your reservation at the discounted price.
    • No separate coupon selection will be offered at payment stage.

Using Coupons
  • You can use the coupon after download.
  • Coupons for international flights cannot be applied with itinerary changes or Upgrade Awards. The tickets must be reissued to purchase at the discounted amount. Fees may be charged for reissuing the ticket.
  • Coupons for domestic flights cannot be combined with other discounts for disabilities & seniors. Itineraries cannot be changed if discount coupons have been applied.
  • Since coupons cannot be applied to tickets that have been already purchased, you must refund with a refund fee and repurchase the ticket to apply coupons.
  • Coupon discounts cannot be combined with other discounts.
  • Discounts may only be applied to airfare and cannot be applied to fuel surcharges, taxes, or other charges.
  • Discount coupons cannot be applied for codeshare or other flights.
  • As classes and seats are limited, your fares for the discount coupon on your preferred day may be sold out.
