International Flight Reservations
  • Online reservations for international flights are available from up to 360 days before departure and until two hours prior to flight time.
  • Please check the applicable fare conditions before booking. The validity period of each ticket may differ depending on the fare rules.
  • If the name on your ticket does not match your passport, boarding or entry may be denied at the departure or arrival airport. Asiana Airlines bears no responsibility for such cases.
  • Payment information (including the cardholder’s name) must be entered in English, and only cards in the traveler’s name can be used. If the cardholder’s name does not match the passenger’s, verification may be required at the airport. Failure to verify may result in boarding denial under Asiana’s Credit Card Terms and Article 3 of the Conditions of International Carriage. Please ensure all details are correct, as Asiana Airlines will not be liable for any denial of boarding due to these reasons.

  • You can book for up to 9 passengers, including adults, children, and infants, through the website or mobile app.

Codeshare and Partner Airline Segments
  • Flights operated by partner or codeshare airlines can also be booked through the Asiana website or mobile app. (Please note that some routes may not be available for online or mobile booking.)
  • Fares for codeshare flights may differ from those purchased directly from the operating airline.
  • For flights operated by a partner or codeshare airline, please check in at the counter of the operating airline.
  • Online and mobile bookings are available for major destinations, including those served by Asiana Airlines. Please refer to the destination list for eligible cities.
  • Certain partner or codeshare airlines may restrict travel for unaccompanied minors under the age of 15. Please confirm with the respective airline before travel.
  • Baggage allowance may follow either the operating or the marketing airline’s policy, in accordance with the codeshare agreement. Please verify the applicable rules before departure.
  • The final baggage allowance will be indicated on your e-ticket itinerary after purchase.

Baggage Allowance
  • For international flights, Economy Class passengers may check up to two bags (each within 23kg) free of charge on U.S. routes, and one bag (within 23kg) free of charge on non-U.S. routes.
    When connecting to flights operated by other airlines, the baggage allowance may differ according to the partner airline’s policy.

Reservations for Korean Domestic Routes
  • Online reservations for Korean domestic flight tickets can be purchased 360 days prior to the search date at the earliest and 40 minutes prior to flight departure at the latest.
  • The validity period for domestic flight tickets is usually one year. You must use the ticket within the validity period, as extensions are not possible.
  • When purchasing flight tickets for Korean domestic routes, you must pay at the same time as making your reservation.
  • Please be aware that times for Korean domestic flight reservations are subject to change without notice due to regular schedule changes and regular maintenance work.
  • After ticketing, a difference in fuel surcharge will not be charged anew nor refunded, even if it increases or decreases.

Use of Codeshare Airlines
  • Air Busan operates Busan-Jeju, Gimpo-Busan, and Gimpo-Jeju routes as a codeshare service (operating carrier: Air Busan).
  • On codeshare flights, there may be a fare difference with the codeshare airline. Please check the codeshare fare and special individual discounts before making your purchase.

  • Check-in for Asiana Airlines flights departing from Busan and arriving in Jeju is operated by Air Busan.
  • For Air Busan codeshare flights, internet seat allocation is available on the Air Busan website up to 30 minutes before departure.
Individual Discount Fares

[Common Items for Discount]

  • When buying flight tickets, you can receive special individual discounts according to passenger. Please confirm discount eligibility, discount details, and required paperwork before making your purchase.
  • If you have received a special individual discount through the Asiana Airlines website, you must present your documentary evidence at the airport on the day of boarding. If you do not bring it with you, you will have to pay the difference between the discount and regular fare before boarding.
  • Discounts cannot be retroactively applied after boarding is complete. Please be sure to confirm before purchasing your ticket.
  • Individual discounts only apply to regular fares and cannot be combined with internet discount fares.

[Discounts for Customers with Disabilities]

  • The discount for persons with disabilities is 50% of the regular fare for persons with 1-3 level disability and 30% of the regular fare for persons with 4-6 level disability. One accompanying care giver can receive 50% off the regular adult fare only if they are accompanying a person with a 1-3 level disability. (same applies to children with disabilities)
  • Discounts are also available on Air Busan codeshare flights.

  • The Asiana Airlines website uses VeriSign, a secure server authentication method, to protect customer information through SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.

  • Online reservations are available on Mac OS devices; however, KB Kookmin and BC Card (ISP) payments are not supported.

Points to Note when Paying in Korea

【Paying by Credit Card】

  • Asiana Airlines website uses each card company’s enhanced verification service (ISP Secure Payment/MPI Safe Click) for secure e-commerce transactions.
  • To pay with a credit card issued in Korea, you must sign up for each card company’s verification program, and the easy payment provided by the card company (such as app card payment) is only available when paying in KRW.
  • Payments with some debit/ prepaid/ gift cards may be restricted due to restrictions on credit card company affiliates or refund policies.
    (Cards that cannot be used for payment may change depending on the credit card company’s policy.)
  • If payment is made in a currency other than the currency of the card-issuing country, additional overseas usage fees may be charged. (e.g. when purchasing USD-denominated fares with a credit card issued in Korea)
  • A corporate card can be used for payment after signing up for the online verification program, the same way as for personal cards. Some company cards have restrictions on online verification program registration. Please check with your card company.
  • If a verification-related error occurs, please contact the relevant credit card company.

【Real Time Account Transfer】

  • Real time account transfer is only available in Korea. It is used to transfer money from your account in real time to pay for a purchase.
  • Internet banking can be used if it is set up, though not phone banking or payment without account. You can proceed by entering your account details with the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute.
  • Tickets purchased via account transfer cannot be refunded online once 180 days have passed from the purchase date. Passengers must visit the reservation center or branch office for a refund.

  • You cannot change the payment method for your ticket after purchase.
  • When making a credit card payment in a currency other than that of the card-issuing country, you may be charged additional foreign transaction fees or credit card company fees.

  • Paying with Alipay Payment may not be possible due to internet banking payment amount restrictions. In this case, please add funds to your Alipay account and pay the balance.

  • Paying with Wechat Pay According to the Tencent policy, customers who is not verified by Chinese identity card are temporarily unable to pay abroad with Wechat Pay. The amount to be paid may be different, depending on your purchase date and the currency exchange rate. The actual amount to be charged may be different from the final payment amount, depending on the currency and the exchange rate of the transaction.
  • Paying in KRW You may use Visa Card, Mastercard, and Korean issued credit cards. When paying, the amount in KRW is displayed after being directly converted from CNY. The final payment amount is the amount in KRW.
    When using an international credit card issued outside Korea, there may be a loss on the foreign currency transaction, depending on the calculated currency unit. When using credit cards eligible for 3D Secure verification, we recommend that you get your ticket issued after completing verification.

Points to Note when Paying in Korea

[Paying by Credit Card]

  • It is not possible to pay with debit / advance payment / gift cards that are not payment enabled cards.
  • If the total payment amount is over KRW 300,000, certification is needed (KRW 500,000 for Samsung Card). Please have certification issued by the transacting bank.
  • May be used after installing vaccine on your Android device.
  • Depending on Wi-Fi or radio reception strength, reservations and purchases may not work optimally.

[Real Time Account Transfer]

  • Account transfer payment may be processed once the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute account transfer app is installed and certification is saved.
  • When paying by account transfer, the Bank Pay app of the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute will be automatically activated.
  • Tickets purchased via account transfer cannot be refunded online once 180 days have passed from the purchase date. Passengers must visit the reservation center or branch office for a refund.
  • Payment method cannot be changed after payment has been made.

Reservation Changes
  • For tickets with fare rules that do not permit itinerary changes, please cancel or refund your existing ticket and purchase a new one.
  • When changing a flight segment, the ticket must be reissued with a fare applicable on the date the change is requested.
  • If there is a fare difference between the original and new ticket, the difference will be collected or refunded. A reissue fee may apply according to the fare conditions.
Date and Flight Number Changes
  • For tickets with fare rules that do not permit date or flight number changes, reservations cannot be modified.
  • For tickets that allow changes, fares will be recalculated based on the fare conditions applicable on the date of the change.
    If the same fare or conditions cannot be applied (due to time of sale, season, day, flight number, or booking class), the ticket must be reissued under an applicable fare before the date change can be completed. Fare differences and reissue fees may apply.
Important Information on Reservation Changes
  • For tickets issued on or after July 1, 2022, online reservations for flights departing from Korea can be changed up to three times in total (for unused tickets only).
  • For partial itinerary or seat class changes, please contact the Reservation Center.
  • When a reservation is changed, any pre-purchased services such as seat selection or in-flight meals will be automatically canceled. Please reapply after the change is completed.
  • Paid seat refunds are available up to 48 hours before departure; refunds are not available within 48 hours of departure. (For discounted paid seats affected by reservation changes, the fare difference will be recalculated based on the regular seat price.)
  • If a discount coupon was applied to the original ticket, the discounted amount will be added to the new fare upon reissuance.
  • Once a ticket has been reissued, same-day cancellations may not be permitted.

Itinerary Changes
  • If a fare difference results from an itinerary change, you will either need to pay an additional amount or receive a refund.
  • All changes, cancellations, and refunds of Korean domestic flights purchased via the website or mobile device must be requested via the homepage or mobile device (unavailable at the reservation center, regional offices, or airport ticketing counters). Confirm the fare rules of the discounted tickets if they are not eligible for itinerary change or refund.
Points to Note Regarding Itinerary Changes
  • If you wish to make partial changes or seat class changes, please contact the Reservation Center.
  • If the discounted amount on the changed itinerary is more than 50%, mileage accrual and addition of boarding times are not allowed. After changing to a discounted fare, partial changes/refunds and itinerary changes are not allowed. Please cancel/refund the entire reservation and purchase again.
  • When you make itinerary changes, additional services such as advance seat reservation are cancelled. Please request again after the changes are completed.

Ticket Cancellation and Refund Period
  • Requests for ticket cancellations or refunds can be submitted within 30 days after the ticket’s validity period expires.
    The validity period for discounted tickets may vary by fare type. Please check the applicable conditions when purchasing.
Cancellation/Refund on the Day of Purchase or Within 24 Hours of Purchase
  • For fully unused tickets cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, the refund penalty/service fee will be waived.
  • For tickets purchased through an Asiana Airlines branch office or reservation center, cancellations or refunds on the day of purchase or within 24 hours of purchase can only be done during the business hours of each branch. Please check in advance before making your inquiry and contact branch during business hours.
Refunds for Partially Used Tickets
  • When requesting a refund for a partially used ticket, the refund amount will be calculated based on the unused portion of the fare, minus the fare amount for the used segment (including fuel surcharge and taxes). Refund fees and penalties will apply according to the fare rules.
  • For certain discounted fares, partial refunds may not be permitted under fare conditions. In such cases, only the fuel surcharge and taxes for the unused segment will be refunded.
Refunds for Flights Canceled by Airline or Weather Conditions
  • Tickets unused due to flight cancellations caused by weather or airline circumstances are not automatically refunded. Refund fees are waived in such cases, but online or mobile refund requests may still incur processing fees. Please contact an Asiana Airlines branch, reservation center, or airport counter for assistance.
Important Notes on Ticket Cancellation and Refund
  • A no-show penalty will be charged if you do not cancel your confirmed flight before departure or fail to board after check-in. For changes or refunds, reissue and refund fees will apply according to the ticket conditions.
  • If you wish to change or cancel tickets for specific passengers within the same reservation, please contact the Reservation Center.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original form of payment. Processing may take additional time if fare differences occur due to itinerary changes.

Cancelling/Refunding Flight Tickets on the Day of Purchase
  • When cancelling/refunding flight tickets online on the day of purchase, refund penalties and fees are not payable. However, please be advised that when cancelling or refunding flight tickets from the day after the purchase date (after midnight), or when a part of the itinerary has already been used, a refund penalty and fee will apply.

  • Contact the reservation center if you wish to make partial changes/refunds for your reservation.
  • After your refund is completed, the reservation is cancelled and cannot be restored. Please be aware of this when you make your request.
  • Refunds generally take 5-7 working days to process after the request is made. When the refund process is complete, the branch office or Reservation Center will send information on the final refund amount to the e-mail used when you made the request.

  • Mileage can be earned when traveling with Asiana Airlines, Star Alliance member airlines, or partner airlines, as well as through partner services and retroactive mileage accrual requests.

Mileage Award Ticket Reservations
  • Click the “Reserve Mileage Award Ticket” button at the top of the flight reservation page to book an award ticket using mileage.
  • Available to Asiana Club members only. Award tickets can be issued using the member’s own mileage or combined family mileage.
  • If registered for the Family Mileage Plan, you may combine mileage with registered family members to redeem award tickets.
  • For mileage accrued as a Platinum, Diamond Plus, or Diamond member on or before November 6, 2014, bonus mileage transfers to another person’s account are allowed if Diamond status is maintained and the miles remain valid. (Note: Bonus transfers cannot be processed online.)
  • During peak season, an additional 50% mileage deduction applies. Please check the peak season schedule before issuing your ticket.
  • Online redemption of mileage tickets is not available in the following cases:
    1. When traveling on codeshare flights operated by airlines other than Air Busan
    2. When redeeming a Star Alliance award ticket for an infant (under 2 years old)
Mileage Award Ticket Change Policy
  • To modify your itinerary, please log in using the Asiana Club membership number under which the award ticket was issued.
  • When changing your itinerary, the applicable season (peak/off-peak) will be recalculated based on the new departure date. Any fare, mileage, or tax differences will apply, and additional payment may be required. Refunds will be automatically processed to the original form of payment.
  • The original validity period of the ticket will remain unchanged after itinerary modification.
  • Changes involving reverse or return segments are not permitted.
    • Example 1) For an Incheon–Narita–Incheon round trip: After flying the Incheon–Narita segment, the remaining Narita–Incheon segment cannot be used for another Incheon–Narita trip.
    • Example 2) For an Incheon–Narita one-way ticket: It cannot be used for the Narita–Incheon route. A refund and reissue as a new ticket are required.
  • For multi-sector itineraries (including domestic segments in Korea), if you wish to change the remaining sector after using the first segment, you must reissue the ticket after refunding the unused portion (a refund fee applies). Standard mileage deductions do not apply to layovers. Major regions include Korea, Japan, China, Southeast Asia/India, the Americas, Europe, Oceania/Saipan/Palau, Russia/Central Asia, and the Middle East/Africa.
  • Name changes are not permitted after the ticket has been issued.
  • For international routes, a reissue fee applies for any date, segment, or season change prior to departure. However, after the outbound segment has been flown, one date change for the return segment (same route and same season) may be made without a reissue fee.
Mileage Award Ticket Refund Policy
  • Mileage award tickets are not refundable in cash and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged.
  • Mileage tickets must be used by the passenger whose name appears on the ticket. Name changes are strictly prohibited.
  • In the event of a member’s death, accrued mileage and related benefits may not be transferred to any other individual, including family members.
  • If a mileage award ticket (including Upgrade Awards) is not used, a refund fee of 3,000 miles or USD 30 per passenger will be charged for cancellations or refunds made within 12 months of issuance. For refunds requested after 12 months from the date of issue, a refund fee of 10,000 miles or USD 100 per passenger will apply.

Mileage Accrual
  • Asiana Airlines is a regular member of Star Alliance. If you fly on Star Alliance airlines or other affiliate airlines, you can accrue Asiana Club mileage.
  • In addition, you can use accrued mileage to get mileage flight tickets for Star Alliance airlines and other affiliate airlines.

Star Alliance Mileage Ticket Reservations and Issuance
  • If you click the “Apply for Reservation with Mileage” button at the top of the flight ticket reservation menu, you can reserve mileage flight tickets.
  • Limited to Asiana Club members. Mileage tickets can be issued using your own of your family members’ mileage.

  • You may select cities from a minimum of one segment, up to a maximum of six segments, for your reservation.
  • If your itinerary includes a transfer, you may select cities from up to a maximum of eight segments for your reservation. When choosing the cities, please follow the following process.
  • Online reservation is not available for mileage tickets for infants (under 2 years of age). Please make your reservation through the Reservation Center (from Korea: 1588-8000, overseas: 82-2-2669-8000).
  • For infants (under 2 years of age) and children, the mileage deducted is the same as for adults. However, an infant who is not occupying a seat can travel on a paid infant flight ticket (10% of adult fare).
    Please request paid infant flight tickets from the actual airline you are traveling with.
  • When selecting Premium Class, reservations and issuance through the website are not possible.
  • Website issuance is only possible once the reservation is confirmed.
  • Website issuance is available up to three days before the first departure on the itinerary.
  • The time limit for issuance is as below. If issuance is not made within the time limit, the reservation may be cancelled.
    • From time of reservation up to 96 hours after the day of departure: Issuance within a minimum of 72 hours of reservation
    • Within 96 hours from time of reservation: Issuance within a minimum of 24 hours of reservation
  • Mileage cannot be used to purchase round-the-world bonus flight tickets through the website. (Deduction for each segment is according to mileage deduction table).

    • Payment can only be made by credit card.
    • If your ticket and additional services was purchased using an easy payment service, you cannot use an e-Voucher to purchase additional services.
    • In the event of a refund for a ticket redeemed with an e-Voucher, the e-Voucher will be used first for the refund fee.
