Domestic to international flight transfer

Transferring from Incheon Airport (domestic) to Incheon Airport (international)

• For efficiency, we offer international flight baggage check so that you do not have to claim your baggage at Incheon Airport.
• However, if you have purchased a domestic flight ticket and an international flight ticket separately, be sure to notify the staff at check-in.

• Depending on the policy of the airline you are connecting to, you may be able to collect your baggage upon arrival and check the baggage again at the airline counter, or have your baggage automatically sent to the connecting airline without having to claim your baggage. When you depart on a domestic flight, please follow the instructions of a staff member (subject to change without prior notice due to circumstances of the airline).

Transferring from Gimpo Airport (domestic) to Incheon Airport (international)

• Your baggage will not be automatically transferred to the connecting airline. Upon arrival at Gimpo Airport, you should collect your baggage and check it in again at Incheon International Airport.

Transferring from Gimpo Airport (domestic) to Gimpo Airport (international)

• The service is available only for passengers departing from a domestic airport and flying Asiana Airlines. It extends to all confirmed domestic and international routes on the itinerary, on the same day.
• After arriving at Gimpo Airport, checked baggage is automatically sent to Gimpo Airport International Terminal, so you do not need to claim your baggage separately.
• Take the airport shuttle bus to the Gimpo International Terminal and then enter the international departure hall.
• Baggage can be picked up at your final destination, and an agent will inform you in case of baggage re-inspection.

Transferring to another airline

Connecting from an airport in the U.S to domestic flights

• You can claim your baggage at the first destination in the United States and proceed to customs for inspection. Once the customs inspection is complete, move your baggage to the transit desk for X-ray re-inspection and check the baggage again.

Free baggage when traveling to the U.S. through Japan

• We apply the baggage allowance regulations of the U.S. segments because they are more favorable for you.

Using low-cost carrier

• Due to the conditions of low cost carriers, most baggage may only be checked at its own segment.
• If you are flying with a low-cost carrier, you must collect your baggage.
