User Agreement on Personal Information Protection
  • Abided by the ’Act of Information and Communication Network Utilization Promotion and Information Protection, etc.’ and ’Personal Information Protection law’ prior to collecting personal information, Asiana Airlines notifies the following terms to the users of Asiana Airlines’ internet website and requests each person’s consent on the matter.

    1. The purpose of collection and use of Personal Information With the consent of users, Asiana Airlines collects users’ personal information for the purpose of provision of services and marketing. Asiana Airlines does not release the collected personal information to a third party without the consent of the user.

    3. Handling and retention period of Personal Information
    Asiana Airlines will immediately delete the collected personal information when it attains the purpose for the collection and use that is described above.
    However, if certain records are required to be kept by the relevant laws including consumer protection law in electronic commerce transaction etc. , such record shall be discarded after certain period of retention.
    4. User disagreement to collection and use of personal information

    We collect the minimum required personal information necessary for reservation services after receiving the user’s consent, and process this information in accordance with domestic and international laws related to the protection of personal information.

    7. Members’ Rights : All members have the right to access, edit, delete, restrict processing, transfer, and file a complaint to the supervisory authorities regarding their personal information.
    8. The information we need to collect for service provision are name, date of birth, phone number, e-mail, gender, and IP address. Should you fail to provide such information, you may not be eligible to use the "Special Assistance Request" service.
    9. We do not process member’s inquiries and concerns by automated response.

    Children under the age of 16 are not well informed about the risks, consequences, necessary safeguards, and their rights, and therefore must receive specific protection for their personal information. Please confirm the legal guardian information and consent regarding flight ticket reservation for children under the age of 16.
