Notice of Extension of the Temporary Exemption Period for the K-ETA (~ 2025. 12. 31.)

As part of efforts to support the revitalization of the tourism industry in line with the "Visit Korea Year" (2023–2024),
the temporary exemption period from the K-ETA(Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) has been extended for an additional year, now effective until December 31, 2025.


  • K-ETA Temporary Exemption Extension Period : 2025. 1. 1. (Wed) ~ 2025. 12. 31. (Wed) (KST)

However, even if you are a national of a country eligible for K-ETA exemption, you may choose to apply for K-ETA to receive benefits such as exemption from filling out the arrival declaration form upon entry into the Republic of Korea. Please note that a fee will be charged for K-ETA applications.


○ Countries/Regions Eligible for K-ETA Exemption

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macao, Netherlands,
New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, US (including Guam)


  • Those who have already obtained K-ETA approval may use it until its expiration date.
  • No refund will be issued for those who have already submitted a K-ETA application.
