Procedure
🔹 T3 → T3 (Same-day Transfer)
Proceed to the boarding gate for your connecting flight after passing through the transit security check, without going through immigration (IMMIGRATION).
※ ※ Transit counter and security check location: Near the center of the fork in the road heading towards IMMIGRATION.
※ When checking in at your initial departure point, your baggage must be checked through to your final destination.

🔹 T3→T2 (Transfer after entry and terminal change)
1. Immigration (Entry)
2. Baggage claim is NOT required (if transferring within 24 hours)
※ When checking in at your original departure airport, confirm with the staff whether you need to claim your baggage at Beijing Capital Airport.
3. Pass Customs and enter the International Arrival Hall
4. Proceed to T3 (Free shuttle bus at Exit 7 on the 1st floor)
5. Check in for your next flight and recheck baggage
※ If you already have your boarding pass or your baggage is checked through to your final destination, you can skip this step.
6. Security Check
7. Take the Shuttle Train (T3C → T3E)
8. Immigration (Departure)
9. Proceed to the Boarding Gate

▶ Effective Sep 1, 2026, due to the terminal relocation, if you are short on transit connection time, please ask the transit counter staff for assistance (transit within the terminal is possible)
Notes
If your connecting flight departs from a different terminal (T2 ↔ T3), you must go through immigration, exit the arrival area, and then transfer to the other terminal using the free terminal shuttle bus or the paid inter-terminal train before proceeding with departure procedures for your next flight.

3. Clear customs and enter the international arrivals hall

4. Check-in and baggage drop-off at the respective domestic airline counter
5. Security check
6. Boarding gate

🔹 T2→T3 (Transfer via shuttle bus after arrival)
4. Exit from Gate 7 on the 1st floor (Arrivals) and take the free shuttle bus (or paid Airport Express)
5. Arrive at Entrance 2 on the T3 Departures level
6. Check-in and baggage drop-off at the respective domestic airline counter
7. Security check
8. Boarding gate
Notes
  • Upon arrival, passengers must claim their baggage and proceed to the domestic counter for re-check-in.
Baggage transfer
  • The baggage through check-in policy varies depending on your transfer type.
    Please check the following before your flight.
    1. International → International : Baggage can be checked through to the final destination. (Please request this at the time of check-in at your original departure airport.)
    2. International → Domestic : Through check-in is not available. You must claim your baggage upon arrival.
    3. Domestic → International : Through check-in is not available. You must claim your baggage and recheck it for the international flight.
    ※ However, when checking in for Air China (CA) domestic flights, baggage can be checked through based on the Star Alliance agreement.
